Why Restorate?

September 07, 2015

There are several hydrating foot creams on the market. Dry skin and cracked heels are exceptionally common, particularly in the harsh, dry, Australian climate. As Podiatrists, we see and treat this condition everyday and understand the frustration that our patients experience in trying to maintain their feet.
The creams that are currently available for treating dry feet are thick and greasy; users complain of an uncomfortable 'clammy' feeling with use. Restorate products contain Urea in different combinations. Podiatrists know this as the most effective foot emollient. We balance Urea with other natural super moisturisers like Shea Butter, Macadamia Oil Peppermint Oil, Aloe Vera and Vitamin E to make products that people (and their feet) fall in love with and want to use. Our products all have a fresh cooling feel, anti-odour , antibacterial and antifungal properties.
Restorate - Good news for dry feet!

Why are my feet so dry?

What causes callus and cracks? Genetic skin type, hydration, skin thickness, muscle wasting, friction, bony prominences and disease processes like diabetes,  psoriasis and thyroid dysfunction can all play a role. The Australian climate is particularly damaging to the exposed skin on the feet and heels, especially in summer. We put sunscreen and moisturiser on our face, hands and other exposed skin areas but we forget about our feet. As Podiatrists, we know what  a difference a regular foot moisturising routine can make.
